Regulation 3 Department Of Defense Medals
Introduction The Department of Defense awards and decorations are primarily the medals and specific badges which recognize military service and personal accomplishments while a member of the U.S. Department of the Navy. Such awards are a means to outwardly display the highlights of a service member's career. These awards & decoration can only be issued by the issuing authority. Personnel are encouraged to display their awards in their forum signature. Your ribbon rack must be built using the approved awards and only the awards listed below can be displayed. If you wish to stack your ribbon & awards collection, you may use the U.S Department of Defense Rack Builder. If you have awards from another military, you are welcome to also include them but it must be clearly stated in your signature where they are from. Issuing Authority All awards & decorations will be processed and issued out by the OSN once every 2 months. Therefore, all personnel should expect to officially receive their awards the final week out of each of the 2 months. Awards can only be issued by the issuing authority. Anyone found with these awards in their forum signature or stating they have these awards WITHOUT the consent of the approving party will be issued an immediate disciplinary action, according to number of offenses.
Medals Personnel may wear all medals on any uniform excluding the Naval Combat
